Mobile Creches (MC), established in 1969, is a pioneer NGO providing comprehensive childcare, nutrition, and health services to young children under 6 years in urban slums and migrant worker construction sites. Officially recognized as the National Creche agency, MC works through a multi-pronged approach: running daycare centers, training the Early Childhood Development (ECD) workforce, scaling up operations in partnership with state governments and civil society.
Position Summary:
- Position Title: Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts (Consultant)
- Department: Finance & Accounts
- Location: New Delhi (Head Office)
- Reporting To: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
- Work mode: Work from office
- Nature of engagement: Contractual (1 year)
- Monthly remuneration: up to Rs. 1,00,000
Job Description:
Maintain transparent and accurate financial records- Voucher approval -Validating Processing payments
- Oversee to ensure accounting compliance with respect to all the payments is followed
- Oversee income Grant& Other than Grant - Review of ledger, reconciliation
- Managing bank accounts - Resolve bank related query and work with them on FC & LC grants
- Financial reporting – Oversee financial reporting UC's and ensure the timelines
- Oversee the preparation of the payroll and regulatory submissions
- Support successful accomplishment of internal and statutory audit.
- Provide responses to the auditors at the time of audit & as and when required
- Oversee the preparation of the annual audited financial statements
- FCRA financial statements
- Consolidated Financial Statements
- Analysis showing gaps and sharing it
- Maintain organizational cash flow and forecasting
- Oversee the Investments to maximize the returns
- Oversee Tax compliances and tax regulations:
- GST work- Review of GST returns and make sure proper records are kept
- TDS Oversee to ensuring timeliness in deposition and filing of return
- Income Tax Filing -ensure timely filing of tax returns along with resolving issues including assessment
- Provide guidance on all the legal MOUs and Agreements
- Comply with all necessary policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department's overall policy and procedure manual.
- All government communication and compliances on orders, Notice and cases
Experience and Qualifications:
- CA / CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M. Com from a recognized institution.
- 8 to –12 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Audit, preferably in NGO sector
- Strong experience in FCRA, Income Tax, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances
- Experience in donor-funded projects, grant management, and financial reporting
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Experience in handling audits, financial statements, and donor reporting.
- Proficiency in FMS / ERP systems
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
