Job Summary:

The Senior Sales & Marketing professional will be responsible for driving business growth for Electro-Mechanical-Controls EPC Projects, inclusive of Data Centres & Micro-chip plants.

Candidate will be capable of identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, managing bids and proposals, and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

This role would require strong leadership, deep EPC market knowledge, and the ability to convert opportunities into profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve projected revenue and order intake targets for EPC Projects broadly into Data Centres, IT Parks, Oil & Gas, Power, Renewables and other Industrial & Infra-structure projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, PMC firms, government bodies, and strategic partners.
  • Generate leads, qualify enquiries, and convert opportunities into orders.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial and contractual terms to ensure profitability and risk mitigations.

Marketing & Market Intelligence:

  • Develop marketing plans aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand presence.
  • Support branding and positioning initiatives for EPC capabilities.

Bidding & Proposals:

  • Oversee end-to-end tendering activities including pre-qualification, bid strategy, techno-commercial offers, pricing, bid submissions & effective follow ups.
  • Coordinate with engineering, estimation, procurement, legal, and finance teams for accurate and competitive bids.
  • Review and approve bid documents, ensuring compliance with client and statutory requirements.
  • Basic Knowledge of LV, MV Panels, PCC, MCC, UPS Panels, Power Distribution & Redundancy systems etc. would be an additional advantage.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales and marketing team.
  • Act as the customer interface from enquiry to order handover.
  • Collaborate closely with project execution teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to operations.
  • Ensure customer delights and ensure repeat business.
  • Report sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical discipline and/or MBA preferred).
  • Around 10-15 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within an EPC or infrastructure company or related product manufacturing company.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing large EPC projects or product range.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, commercial terms, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and leadership skills.
