Role Overview
The technical PM is responsible for high level management, delegation, and execution of day-to-day project tasks. The role involves concurrently managing multiple projects of medium to high complexity. The PM will communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contributors including developers and engineers, analysts, attorneys and paralegals, service delivery project managers, and varying levels of leadership.
Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains project schedules, including defining activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements- Communicates appropriately, clearly, and effectively with clients, outside counsel, project team, and internal operations
- Understands internal service level commitments and turnaround times and sets client expectations appropriately
- Lead and manage Scrum events like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives
- Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize the product backlog and ensure alignment with business goals
- Make informed decisions on how to set client expectations through collaboration with internal project team and understand constraints and risks
- Provides support to clients on platforms and services such as system access, search creation, problem resolution; involves other subject matter experts as necessary
- Serves as the PM on more than one project at a time
- Exercises sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately
- Contributes to, understands, and executes PM best practices
- Creates and maintains a positive and productive work culture among the PM and other internal teams
- Complies with department policies and works within parameters of role.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience- Project management certification strongly preferred
- 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, program management, or other closely related roles
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams within budgetary and schedule constraints
- Demonstrated ability to manage client expectations and maintain client satisfaction
- Demonstrated experience in using JIRA, managing scrum activities, tracking development team progress
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with product owners, BAs, developers, QA and architects
- A proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to anticipate client needs.
- The ability to confront unexpected problems quickly and effectively
- Strong teamwork, communication (written and oral), client management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office & Analytical capabilities utilizing Excel and Access
- Demonstrates excellent scheduling, organization, prioritization and planning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and SharePoint preferred
- Experience working with Smartsheets and Miro is a plus
- Experience working with dashboard programs such as Power BI or Domo is a plus
