Role Overview:
The Manager (Strategy and Learning) is a high-agency role designed for a strategic generalist who can step into diverse problem spaces and drive initiatives from concept to execution. Working closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership, you will tackle complex, often ambiguous problems to help shape the organization's next phase of growth.This role is ideal for individuals who are intellectually curious, adaptable, and comfortable navigating fluid environments where priorities evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Organizational Priorities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute key organizational priorities and operating roadmaps.
- Translate high-level strategy into actionable workstreams across various teams.
- Support decision-making through research, synthesis, and structured problem-solving.
- Track progress on high-priority initiatives to ensure alignment between intent and execution.
- Foster cross-collaboration between horizontal and vertical teams to enable leadership success.
- Innovation & New Initiatives:
- Lead the design and execution of new pilots, strategic "bets," and emerging initiatives.
- Develop concept notes, early-stage models, and implementation approaches.
- Work with program teams to test and refine new ideas, capturing learnings to inform future strategy.
- Edtech & Digital Strategies:
- Lead the evolution of EdTech and digital initiatives, serving as the strategic anchor for technology-enabled innovation.
- Identify high-leverage opportunities where digital solutions can strengthen learning outcomes and internal systems.
- Guide the design of technology initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Organizational Learning & Synthesis:
- Identify cross-cutting insights across different programs and states.
- Synthesize internal and external insights to develop strategy notes, internal briefs, and learning documents.
- Contribute to building strong internal learning loops.
- External Engagement & Representation:
- Support leadership in external partnerships and strategic conversations.
- Contribute to presentations and materials for external-facing platforms.
- Identify opportunities to showcase the organization's work and represent the entity in select forums.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Master's degree.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in consulting, strategy, or business development.
- Leadership: Experience working with Senior Management and driving intrapreneurial projects.
