Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales Engineer specializing in mechanical tools to join our dynamic team. The primary objective of this role is to drive sales growth by effectively engaging with clients, understanding their technical needs, and providing innovative solutions using our range of mechanical tools and equipment.You will play a key role in bridging the gap between our engineering team and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in targeted industries through regular communication and meetings.
- Identify customer requirements and present tailored solutions using our mechanical tools and equipment.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients to highlight features and benefits.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to customize products based on client specifications and feedback.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and activity updates.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on market trends and customer insights.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts and closing sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical tools, including hand tools, electrical machines, assembly tools, and material handling equipment.
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to provide solutions to technical challenges faced by clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role or technical sales in the mechanical tools industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing successful customer relationships.
- Strong B2B sales experience with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment and coordinate across multiple departments.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented attitude with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
