About the Role
Honasa is looking for a highly entrepreneurial and market-savvy professional to drive the expansion of our Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) network across India.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves understanding India—its cities, towns, people, cultures, and commerce. Someone who can enter a market for the first time, quickly understand its potential through conversations, observations, data, and commercial analysis, and translate those insights into profitable expansion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new markets and locations for EBO expansion across India.
- Conduct market visits to assess consumer behavior, retail ecosystems, competitive landscape, catchment potential, and growth opportunities.
- Build robust business cases and ROI models to support expansion decisions.
- Assess store economics including sales potential, occupancy costs, payback periods, and profitability.
- Develop actionable market intelligence using a combination of on-ground insights, data analysis, and AI-powered research tools.
- Build strong relationships with landlords, retail investors, developers, and key local stakeholders.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations to secure high-potential locations.
- Partner closely with Finance, Projects, Retail Operations, Legal, and Leadership teams to drive successful store launches.
- Continuously refine market selection and expansion frameworks to improve decision-making and scalability.
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, sales, retail operations, expansion, channel development, market development, territory management, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of Indian markets, regional nuances, consumer behavior, and cultural diversity.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to build and evaluate ROI-driven business cases.
- Naturally curious and highly observant, with the ability to understand the pulse of a market quickly.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; able to connect with stakeholders across diverse backgrounds and geographies.
- Comfortable leveraging AI and digital tools to gather market intelligence and improve decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and structured problem-solving ability.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of ownership and execution focus.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to travel extensively across India.
