Charge Entry Executive Billing Data Management Job Description/: Responsibilities/: Encounter Processing/: To determine the services provided, examine "Superbills, " hospital records, or computerized encounter forms. Data entry/: Enter provider details, insurance information, and patient demographics into the Practice Management program.
Clinical Coding Entry/: Make sure that ICD/-10 and CPT/HCPCS procedural codes are accurately entered and associated with the appropriate charges. Modifier Application/: To guarantee correct compensation, apply the right modifiers to procedural codes as specified by the documentation.
Audit & Verification/: Verify that no services are overcharged or overlooked by comparing the "Total Charges " and "Units " to the medical record. Eligibility Check/: To reduce front/-end denials, confirm that the patient 's insurance was active on the "Date of Service " DOS.
