Business Analyst- Finance/Investment/ Mutual fund

Job Description

Business Analyst with strong SQL and data analysis capabilities to support financial/ investment/ banking and mutual funds (BFSI) operations and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the investment or mutual fund industry, and a proven ability to work with large datasets to drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute complex SQL queries to analyze investment performance, risk exposure, and fund flows.
• Partner with investment teams, operations, and technology to gather requirements and design analytical solutions.
• Design dashboards and reports to support compliance, risk, and financial reporting functions.
• Ensure data integrity across internal systems and external financial data providers.
• Translate financial business needs into functional data models and KPIs.
• Support ad hoc data requests and root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

• MBA + Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the finance or investment sector.
• Expert-level SQL skills; comfortable with large-scale data extraction and transformation.
• Familiarity with mutual funds, NAV calculations, and portfolio analysis.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
