Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

With a strong emphasis on excellent service, Kohinoor collaborates closely with clients to develop project-based, customized solutions. Kohinoor is in the manufacturing of construction equipment precision and fabrication parts, Oil and gas industrial parts.

You will oversee inspections, develop QA methodologies, investigate product defects, and collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement. Should be familiar with PPAP, APQP, TFR, ISO Documentation.

• Inspection & Testing: Perform Goods Receipt (GR), in-process, and final inspections of mechanical components using precision measuring instruments (CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Quality Documentation: Create, review, and maintain PPAP, APQP, TFR, ISO Quality Control (QC) documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP), First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead investigations into product failures or deviations. Use tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D reporting to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Process Improvement: Monitor manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks or quality risks. Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve yield and reduce waste.
• Supplier Quality Management: Audit external suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming raw materials and mechanical parts meet engineering standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Mechanical Design Engineers and Production teams to review blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements, and design for manufacturability.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in quality assurance/control within a mechanical manufacturing environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, or medical devices).
