Role Summary

As a Senior Data & Analytics Architect, you will take charge of and refine the enterprise analytics infrastructure, translating business goals into practical and efficient analytics solutions. You will lead the architecture of data warehouses, Lakehouses, data products, semantic layers, and the governance of metrics.

Your results will be evaluated based on accelerated time-to-insight, standardized indicator definitions, enhanced platform performance, and expanded reuse of governed data products.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Data Architecture
  • Define and maintain the enterprise data management and reporting architecture blueprints, vision, principles, and target states.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture strategy, business capabilities, and operating models.
  • Work together to handle, maintain, and improve the health of data and analytics capabilities for the enterprise.
  • Build analytics solutions optimized for BI reporting, self-service analytics, and advanced analytics/AI consumption.
  • Lead the analytics architecture roadmap aligned to business priorities.
  • Serve as the build authority for analytics modeling and consumption patterns.
Data Modeling & Semantic Layer
  • Take ownership for analytical and dimensional data models used in enterprise reporting.
  • Build and govern conformed dimensions, business metrics, and benchmarks.
  • Enable tool-agnostic analytics consumption across multiple BI platforms.
  • Ensure consistency of definitions across dashboards, reports, and AI use cases.
Data Products & Marketplace Enablement
  • Drive a data-as-a-product approach for analytical datasets.
  • Define analytics data products with clear onboarding, versioning, and support processes.
  • Enable discoverability, trust, and reuse through catalog and marketplace integration.
Modern Data Platform Architecture (Snowflake)
  • Architect analytical solutions on Snowflake, focusing on performance optimization and cost efficiency.
  • Define guidelines for analytical table formats, warehouse and cluster sizing strategies, and query optimization.
  • Guide teams on Snowflake SQL, notebooks, and compute patterns.
Governance, Quality & Security
  • Establish governance centered on analytics for cloud data platforms.
  • Define and monitor analytics data quality rules.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, analytics and BI teams, data scientists, and architects.
  • Provide architectural leadership and build governance.
  • Mentor teams on analytics modeling, platform usage, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience

Over all with 18+ years of experience, 8+ years in data & analytics architecture, analytics engineering, or enterprise analytics roles and with minimum 3 years hands-on experience in designing on modern cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent)

Modern Data Stack (Required)
  • Hands-on architectural experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
  • Solid knowledge of Lakehouse compared to warehouse architecture, data catalogs, and balancing cost with performance.
Core Analytics & Data Skills
  • Sophisticated skills in quantitative and complex data modeling.
  • Proficient in SQL and skilled at query optimization.
  • Experience building semantic layers and governed metrics.
  • Understanding of ETL, ELT patterns, and analytics pipeline build.
Cloud & Architecture
  • Experience on an AWS cloud platform (or equivalent) and familiar with cloud-native analytics services, Metadata Management and data catalogs.
Business & Analytical Competence
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytics builds.
  • Strong understanding of relevant metrics and management/operational reporting.

Excellent communication, presentation, and collaborator engagement skills.

Additional Information:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Shown experience in BFSI preferable.
  • Architecture or cloud certifications (nice to have).
