Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong expertise in financial accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of accounting principles, statutory regulations, and financial controls.Experience in trading, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Monitor general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely closing of books and preparation of management reports.
- Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Prepare and review tax returns, reconciliations, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and government regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Monitor vendor payments and customer collections.
- Review outstanding receivables and follow up for timely recovery.
- Manage cash flow, banking transactions, and fund utilization effectively.
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations and financial control checks.
- Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Monitor expenses, profitability, and cost-control initiatives.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial insights and reporting.
- Team Coordination & Process Improvement
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial and compliance requirements.
- Establish and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Support ERP, accounting software, and system implementation activities.
- Guide and mentor junior accounting staff when required.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts, Finance, Taxation, and Compliance.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial responsibilities.
- Experience in trading, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors will be an added advantage.
