Technology & Schema Lead (Payments/FS)
Seeking an experienced technology and integration specialist to lead schema analysis, migration tooling assessment, and technical specification work for a large-scale lockbox platform consolidation engagement within a major financial services organization.
What You'll Do- Lead field-level schema comparison and gap analysis between legacy and target payment processing platforms, documenting transformation requirements and remediation options
- Assess and revalidate existing migration tooling for enterprise scale, identifying gaps and producing scoped revalidation and scaling plans
- Author functional specifications for output translation layers and client configuration registries that serve as the engineering blueprint for downstream execution teams
- Produce technical readiness and compliance checklists covering platform capacity, SOC 2/PCI scope, and BSA/AML control continuity
- 8–12 years of experience in systems integration, technical architecture, or platform migration in payments or fintech
- Deep understanding of payment processing platforms, remittance data formats, and output schema design
- Proven ability to produce high-quality functional and technical specifications that engineering teams build from directly
- Experience with migration tool assessment and scalability analysis in enterprise environments
- Strong grasp of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to financial data migration (SOC 2, PCI DSS, BSA/AML)
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical complexity for both engineering and business stakeholders
- Experience with lockbox, remittance, or receivables processing platforms
- Familiarity with parallel-run validation approaches and reconciliation architecture
- Background in B2B payments, wholesale lockbox, or financial institution technology
