Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Chennai requiring hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp. The Designer will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, develop interior design concepts, and translate ideas into detailed drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations using AutoCAD and SketchUp.Daily responsibilities include selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings, preparing mood boards, and coordinating with suppliers, artisans, and site teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed. The role involves conducting site visits, capturing measurements, tracking project progress, and resolving design-related issues in a timely manner.
The Designer will also participate in client presentations, incorporate feedback, and support project documentation, timelines, and quality standards from concept through completion.
Qualifications- Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and SketchUp (or equivalent 3D modeling/rendering software) is required for this role.
- Strong interior or furniture design skills, including space planning, material selection, and an eye for aesthetics and functionality.
- Basic MS Office skills.
- Ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and site teams, with solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design, or a related field preferred; candidates without a formal design degree but with demonstrated AutoCAD/SketchUp project experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to work on-site at project locations, conduct regular site visits, and coordinate with artisans and contractors.
