Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Strategy & Growth
  • Formulate and implement nationwide sales and marketing strategies for portfolios focused on de-addiction, CNS, and pain management.
  • Accelerate revenue growth and expand market share in key therapeutic areas including:
  • Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST)
  • Treatments for alcohol and nicotine dependence
  • Management of neuropathic pain
  • Discover new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and institutional collaborations.
  1. Sales Leadership (Pan-India)
  • Oversee and guide regional sales teams throughout India.
  • Establish sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance standards.
  • Enhance field force productivity and ensure effective execution across all regions.
  • Track secondary sales, prescription rates, and product market penetration.
  1. Marketing & Product Management
  • Create brand strategies and manage product life cycles.
  • Lead the launch, positioning, and marketing campaigns for important molecules such as:
  • Buprenorphine
  • Methadone
  • Naltrexone
  • Pregabalin
  • Collaborate closely with medical, regulatory, and training departments.
  1. Key Account & Institutional Business
  • Establish and maintain relationships with:
  • Government agencies
  • De-addiction centers
  • Hospitals and rehabilitation clinics
  • NGOs specialized in substance abuse
  • Lead institutional sales activities including tenders, OST initiatives, and public health programs.
  1. Team Management & Capability Building
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales and marketing teams.
  • Implement training programs focused on therapeutic knowledge and sales skills.
  • Prepare leadership talent for future organizational growth.
  1. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
  • Ensure adherence to DCGI, NDPS regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Maintain ethical marketing practices in sensitive therapeutic areas.

Key Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences (MBA is preferred)
Experience
  • 12 to 18+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
  • Extensive experience in:
  • De-addiction, Psychiatry, or CNS sectors
  • Pain management segment
  • Demonstrated success managing national roles or large geographic areas.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong business insight and profit & loss (P&L) responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of the CNS and addiction therapy markets.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, including KOLs, institutions, and regulators.
  • Strategic thinker with excellence in execution.
