We are looking for a highly skilled PCB Design Engineer with strong expertise in Cadence Allegro and Altium Designer to lead and deliver complex PCB design activities. This role involves end-to-end PCB development, from concept through layout to manufacturing release, ensuring high-quality, reliable designs aligned with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities- PCB Design & Layout Execution
- Perform high-Power, high-density PCB layout design using Cadence Allegro and Altium Designer
- Handle multi-layer PCB designs, including complex systems (power electronics, control boards, embedded systems)
- Execute component placement, routing, stack-up definition, and constraint-driven design
- Design Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, Class 2/3)
- Perform DFM, DFA, and DFT analysis to ensure manufacturability and reliability
- Conduct design reviews and validations before release
- Constraint & Signal Integrity Management
- Define and implement:
- Electrical constraints
- Impedance control
- Differential pair routing
- Power integrity and signal integrity best practices
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with schematic, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure design feasibility
- Engage with suppliers and PCB fabricators for design optimization
- Support prototype builds, debugging, and issue resolution
- Tools & Technology Ownership
- Hands-on usage of:
- Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
- Altium Designer
- Work with:
- Constraint Manager (Allegro)
- Library management systems
- Version control environments (Git/SVN/PLM systems)
- Data Management & Release
- Generate and validate:
- Gerber files / ODB++ / IPC-2581 outputs
- Fabrication & assembly drawings
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and version control
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Cadence Allegro PCB Design
- Altium Designer
- Deep understanding of:
- PCB fabrication and assembly processes
- High-speed and power electronics design
- EMI/EMC considerations
- Experience in high-reliability design environments (Aerospace / Industrial / Automotive preferred)
- Knowledge of:
- IPC standards (Class 2 / Class 3)
- Thermal and mechanical constraints
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
- Effective communication with stakeholders
- Ability to work in fast-paced, milestone-driven programs
