Jira Administrator

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to manage and optimize our Atlassian Jira environment, including company-managed projects, team-managed projects, and ITSM (service-managed) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring workflows, statuses, screens, custom fields, and user management to ensure Jira supports our business processes effectively and securely.

• Administer and manage Jira Software (company-managed and team-managed projects) and Jira Service Management (ITSM).
• Design, implement, and maintain workflows, issue types, screens, statuses, fields, and permission schemes.
• Manage user access, roles, groups, and security settings.Create and maintain project templates and schemes to support standardized project setups.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Jira configurations.
• Ensure system integrity, performance, and compliance with governance/security policies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports to support teams.
• Provide best practices, training, and support for end users.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Jira Administrator (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Jira Software (Cloud) and Jira Service Management (ITSM).
• Hands-on expertise in workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and notifications.
• Experience managing both company-managed and team-managed projects.
• Solid understanding of ITSM practices (incident, problem, change, and request management).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:
• Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-610: Jira Cloud Administrator).
• Scripting or automation experience (automation for Jira, Script Runner, etc.).
