Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Mentor - Data Science. The Mentor will guide, mentor, and support students in their data science learning journeys. Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on learning sessions, assisting students with problem-solving, providing constructive feedback, and helping them build strong portfolios.The Mentor will also stay updated with the latest trends and tools in data science to ensure education remains relevant and impactful.
Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of industry or mentoring experience
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages, and expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
- Experience with tools and platforms, such as Jupyter, Tableau, or equivalent data visualization tools
- Familiarity with data pre-processing, data cleaning, and working with large datasets
- Excellent mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively support students in their learning
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to learners with varying levels of experience
- Teaching or mentoring experience in an academic or professional setting is a strong advantage
- Passion for empowering others and fostering active learning
