Senior System Engineer - Network Automation

Job Description

You will work independently across lab and production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

• Write, deploy, and maintain software using Python within specified automation frameworks (Ansible and others) to automate the complete network device lifecycle
• Integrate automation with network infrastructure for standardized configuration management, including deployment, changes, and rollback
• Develop tools for continuous auditing, data collection, and automated incident response
• Independently integrate with lab and production environments
• Test new and existing automation scripts, playbooks, and modules to ensure reliability, scalability, and adherence to production standards
• Create and maintain detailed documentation covering deployed automation solutions, including development methods, integration points, and operational procedures

• 6+ years of general IT experience
• 3+ years of expertise in Ansible development, including hands-on experience with Ansible Core, Ansible AWX, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
• 1+ years of experience focused on Python development in a production environment
• Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, and various routing protocols
• Hands-on expertise in managing and configuring complex network routers and switches from major vendors
• Capability to rapidly learn and utilize specified network development SDKs and tools to interact with and manage network infrastructure
• Ability to quickly pick up new tools and technologies
• English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

• Background in cloud-native infrastructure and platforms (e.g., Google Compute Engine, AWS, Azure, Salesforce)
• Prior experience with OSS platforms such as NetCracker
• Knowledge of data processing, dashboard, and BI software
