Job Description – Assistant Manager (Fabrication)

Location: Mohali

Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Fabrication will be responsible for managing day-to-day production operations in the fabrication unit, ensuring smooth functioning of machines, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing productivity. The role requires strong technical expertise in fabrication processes and hands-on problem-solving abilities.

• Oversee daily fabrication and production activities to meet output targets
• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of fabrication machinery
• Perform and supervise troubleshooting of bending machines and press machines
• Handle and support OTC robotic welding programming and operations
• Monitor laser cutting and tube cutting processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and SOPs
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve technical issues promptly
• Optimize machine utilization and reduce downtime
• Maintain production reports, MIS, and documentation
• Train and guide shop-floor operators for improved performance

• Strong knowledge of OTC Robotic Welding Programming
• Expertise in Bending Machine Troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of Press Machine Troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Laser Cutting and Tube Cutting operations
• Understanding of fabrication processes and production workflows
• Basic knowledge of production planning and process improvement

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

Experience:

• 4–8 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing industry
• Hands-on experience in welding, cutting, and forming processes

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Hands-on approach with technical expertise
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good team management and coordination skills
• High level of responsibility and accountability
