R&D OM, Software and Machine Learning Platform Manager

Responsibilities:
Keysight's AI Labs is seeking a Software Engineering Manager, based in Gurgaon India, to lead its AI platform engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of a robust platform that underpins cutting-edge AI models, datasets, and agentic frameworks.
You’ll collaborate closely with AI Labs leadership in the USA and Spain, ensuring seamless alignment between platform capabilities and evolving technical requirements across global teams.
Your responsibilities will include scaling high-performing engineering teams, fostering cross-time zone communication, and delivering shared platform outcomes for diverse market segments. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of AI infrastructure for Keysight and our customers.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years managing and growing software engineering teams, with experience scaling from small teams to 15+ engineers
- Strong project management skills: sprint planning, backlog prioritization, resource allocation, delivery tracking, and risk management, support and feedback
- Proven ability to drive adoption, including growing active users, onboarding new teams, and expanding usage across organization
- Experience managing cross-timezone, distributed teams with clear communication cadences and async workflows
- Demonstrated ability to partner across organizations and market segments (e.g., communications/5G, aerospace & defense, automotive, semiconductor), aligning priorities and delivering shared platform outcomes despite differing business goals and timelines
- Proven ability to operate a platform as a service - defining the service catalog, SLAs/SLOs, support model, and roadmap; grow adoption through onboarding self-service tooling, clear documentation, and a strong developer experience
- Track record of hiring, onboarding, and retaining engineering talent in India
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery at scale, including managing multiple workstreams in parallel
- Ability to partner effectively with a senior technical architect, dividing ownership cleanly between delivery and technical direction
- Ability to influence without direct authority, building executive/stakeholder alignment, navigating tradeoffs, and resolving conflicts across geo-distributed teams and leadership
- PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification is a plus
- Familiarity with ML/AI platforms or developer tooling is a plus but not required
