Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Product design proposal for Customer review of product design with designer for 2D drawings, 3D Cad-models BOMs from proto to Production
- Lead mechanical design, analysis, and engineering execution across multiple
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, calculations, FEA validation, and engineering
- Plan, assign, and monitor team tasks to meet project schedules, quality standards, and cost
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements and related
- Coordinate with Global engineering teams and Customers for any technical reviews, feasibility issues related to
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Controls, Automation Virtual
- Drive problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for design and manufacturing
- Proficient in undertaking process enhancement, process modifications, process and quality improvements to enhance operational efficiency and thereby escalating productivity.
- Develop team members; conduct performance reviews and skill development
- Promote standardization, continuous improvement, and reuse of engineering solutions and best
- Skills and Relevant Work Experience -
- Technical knoweldge Lead and review mechanical design activities including concept development, detailed design, validation, and release. Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and regulations (ISO, ASME, DIN, ASTM, BIS, etc.). Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for design, manufacturing, or field issues. Drive standardization, reuse of designs, and continuous improvement of engineering processes. Design Skills Support design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for cost (DFC). Guide the team on best engineering practices, design methodologies, tolerance stack-up, and GDT. Perform and/or review engineering calculations, FEA, and simulations to validate designs. Projects handled Powertrain assembly lines, End of line testing equipments automation for automobiles testing calibration. Software tool knowledge and experience Knowledge of 3D CAD tools: Autodesk Inventor 2026 / SolidWorks 2025 / Auto CAD 2026 Any other : Knowledge of BOM creation maintaing in the Softwares like SAP ERP Application knowledge of GD T. Kaizen/Poka-yoke/FMEA/5S/Continuous improvement activities to fool-proof the process, enhance Productivity improve operational efficiency.
