About the Role

We're seeking a Senior AI Architect who combines deep technical breadth (horizontal) and specialized expertise (vertical) across modern AI, distributed systems, and secure cloud architecture. This role is for a hands‑on architect who can design enterprise‑grade AI platforms, build agentic systems, drive document intelligence capabilities at scale, and partner closely with InfoSec, Cloud Enablement, and Engineering.

You will define architectural patterns, lead rapid POCs, write production‑ready code, and drive the roadmap for trustworthy, observable, safe AI systems including RAG, agents, MCP‑based patterns, telemetry, and TrustAI.

What You'll Do

• Architect end‑to‑end AI systems including RAG pipelines, agentic patterns, multi‑agent orchestration, retrieval strategies, metadata schemas, and grounding frameworks.
• Establish enterprise AI patterns: prompt governance, model routing, security envelopes, isolation boundaries, human‑in‑the‑loop mechanisms, fallback/verification flows, and plugin/MCP integration patterns.
• Develop Document Intelligence as a Service: ingestion pipelines, OCR/vision models, sensitive‑data handling, verification workflows, extraction logic, and multi‑tenant design.
• Define architecture for TrustAI—hallucination testing, evaluation suites, bias/fairness workflows, lineage, scoring, approvals, and compliance alignment.

• Rapidly prototype and deliver fast POCs in Python (and optionally TypeScript/Node) to validate ideas, derisk architecture, or support regulatory/InfoSec questions.
• Build scalable microservices and orchestration layers (FastAPI, Functions, AKS, Container Apps).
• Implement observability by design: OpenTelemetry traces, structured logs, retrieval & prompt traces, guardrail instrumentation, and eval feedback loops (e.g., Langfuse, App Insights).
• Own end‑to‑end delivery—from design, coding, automation, IaC, testing, to production rollout.
• Powerplatform/ Microsoft Azure Foundry/ Copilot Studio experience

• Partner with InfoSec and Cloud Enablement to architect secure solutions: private networking, encryption, secrets, identity boundaries, policy‑as‑code, DLP, governance gates, and model‑risk compliance practices.
• Operate and optimize on Azure Cloud:

Azure OpenAI / Models, Azure AI Search, Azure ML, Key Vault, Terraform deployments, Event Hub / Service Bus, AKS, container registries, network isolation zones, and monitoring stacks.

• Serve as the architectural authority for agent‑based AI systems, RAG patterns, vector search, hybrid retrieval, and responsible AI.
• Publish internal reference architectures, reusable modules, best practices, and decision playbooks.
• Mentor senior engineers, guide design reviews, lead technical deep dives, and influence enterprise‑wide AI strategy.
