Admissions Counsellor (Business Development Executive)

Chennai | In-office | Full-time 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM | Monday to Saturday

The Role:

You will be the first real conversation a potential student has with LevelUp. Every lead you speak to has already shown interest in one of our programs. No cold calling. Ever. Your job is to understand who they are, help them make the right decision, and close them into the program that fits them best.

What you'll be doing:

Workflow 1: Application to Interview Leads who fill our application form but haven't paid the application fee are yours to call. These are warm inbound leads. Your job is to have a sharp, confident conversation, understand where they are in their journey, and get them to take the next step: paying the application fee and scheduling their interview.

Workflow 2: Interview and Close Once a lead pays their application fee and schedules their interview, you conduct it. That means you need to deeply understand every program you're assigned: the curriculum, the outcomes, the industry it leads to, and who it's built for.

You'll assess whether the candidate is a genuine fit, and if they are, you'll follow up and close them into the program.

Workflow 3: Follow-ups Leads who've paid their application fee but haven't scheduled their interview yet need to hear from you. You'll be responsible for getting them on a call and moving them forward.

You'll be working across multiple programs at a time: filmmaking, screenwriting, cinematography, video editing, content creation, and AI. You'll be assigned a set of products and you'll own your pipeline completely.

You're a fit if:

  • You have 2 to 3 years of sales experience, preferably in ed-tech, high-ticket products, or consultative sales
  • Your English communication is excellent. Not good. Excellent.
  • You know Hindi or Telugu. If you do, that's a strong advantage.
  • You're comfortable on the phone for long stretches and you don't lose energy mid-day
  • You're curious enough to genuinely understand what you're selling and who you're selling it to
  • You want to be at a company for 2 to 3 years and actually grow with it, not just pass through

You're not a fit if:

  • You're looking for a laid-back role with easy targets
  • You need to be chased to follow up on your leads
  • You can't hold a sharp, confident conversation without a script
  • You've only ever done cold outreach and haven't closed high-intent leads

Compensation: Starts at 4 LPA and goes up based on experience and performance.
