Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing and supply chain operations within our project-based environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, cost reduction, Import purchases, Customs clearance and inventory management with a focus on project execution.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines for project-based needs.(Electro-mechanical Projects)
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms for project requirements.
• Handle import purchases and customs clearance
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services necessary for successful project execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure alignment with project deadlines.
• Collaborate with respective project departments, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project objectives.
• Manage procurement budgets and track cost savings initiatives related to project expenses.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for procurement activities to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
• Implement and oversee inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize storage for project-specific materials.
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging supply chain technologies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree / Master's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience with a focus on project-based procurement.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation within project settings.
• Proficiency inTally / ERP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
• Strong understanding of cost structures, budgeting, and financial analysis for project-based procurement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with project procurement methodologies and risk management.
• Knowledge of international sourcing is a plus must.
