We are inviting applications for the rolePortfolio & Trade Reconciliation - Senior Manager for Private Credit.
Responsibilities- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of assigned reconciliations including
- Daily cash reconciliation and positions, and Weekly / monthly reconciliations
- Review of fund returns and investor reporting materials
- Review of quarterly and annual fund financial statements including management fee payments and carried interest allocations and NAV and expenses.
- Manage year-end audit process and maintain close interaction with outside accountants during year end audit
- Perform analytical review of quarterly balance sheets and income statements
- Review of capital call and distribution activity
- Perform process review and quality control on assigned reconciliations
- Performing manual reconciliation for processes not included in automation
- Identify and investigate exceptions within established time parameters
- Escalate and work closely with clients and custodian banks to ensure timely resolution of exceptions
- Work within existing procedures and processes ensuring clear and concise documentation is created and maintained.
- Remain familiar with relevant securities industry development specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and/or internal clients and custodial service providers.
- Recognize lapses on different workflows and recommend/initiate process improvements/control measures
- Mentor junior associates by conducting training and preparing/updating conceptual reference materials
- Provide support to the team as required, to participate in a regular program of industry specific training and interdepartmental cross training to ensure continuity of service
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications- Preferably a CA or related courses in accounting
- Relevant work experience
- Experience in securities instruments/settlements and investment process
- Strong Excel skills
- Preferably having knowledge of third party data platforms such as Bloomberg, DUCO, Simcorp Dimension
Competencies:
- Understanding of private credit business
- Deep understanding of mechanics behind Loans- Term Loans/DDTLs/Revolvers.
- Knowledgable of full life cycle events i.e. principal activity PIK, Paydowns, Borrowings, trades, fees, rate resets, interest accruals, etc.
- Strong analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Quality control and review experience
