Job Title: HR Officer

Job Overview:

UniHawk is looking for a tech-savvy and proactive HR Generalist to manage end-to-end HR operations for our India team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of India payroll structures, hiring, compliance, and employee engagement, and be capable of independently handling all HR functions from recruitment to exit formalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and exit processes.
  • Process India payroll accurately, including salary structures, deductions (PF, ESI, TDS), and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Indian labour laws and maintain all HR documentation and statutory filings.
  • Handle offer letters, onboarding, and induction for new employees.
  • Coordinate with department heads to identify hiring needs and source candidates through multiple channels.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and internal communication programs.
  • Maintain HR databases, attendance, and leave management systems.
  • Prepare HR reports and coordinate with the finance team for payroll submissions and audits.
  • Manage HRIS systems and online HR tools for process automation and data accuracy.
  • Support visa coordination and travel documentation for India-based staff when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, and recruitment (India-based).
  • Strong understanding of India payroll and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in HRMS/HRIS tools, Excel, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Immediate joiners preferred.
