Job Description:
We are looking for a Level 1 Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in Digital Technologies who brings strong foundational expertise in .NET development, Microsoft Azure, and API integration concepts. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is passionate about building scalable digital solutions, learning modern cloud-native practices, and contributing to high-quality enterprise applications.
The candidate will work closely with senior engineers, product teams, and QA to design, develop, support, and enhance digital applications aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET technologies.
- Build and consume REST APIs and support system-to-system integrations.
- Work with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Key Vault, and monitoring tools.
- Participate in application development lifecycle activities including design, coding, unit testing, deployment, and support.
- Troubleshoot production and lower-environment issues with guidance from senior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects.
- Follow coding standards, secure development practices, and performance optimization guidelines.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and release activities in Azure-based environments.
- Contribute to documentation, technical design notes, and API specifications.
- Continuously upskill in cloud, APIs, and modern engineering practices.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in software development / digital engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, authentication, and integration patterns.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based source control.
- Basic understanding of SQL Server / database concepts.
- Familiarity with debugging, logging, and application monitoring.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration mindset.
- Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-900, AZ-204, or equivalent) will be a strong value add.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Experience with event-driven integrations and messaging systems.
- Understanding of application support / operations processes.
- Knowledge of secure API practices such as OAuth, JWT, and API gateways.
- Delivers assigned stories and enhancements with quality and on time.
- Demonstrates strong learning agility in Azure and digital technologies.
- Contributes effectively to API and integration design discussions.
- Shows ownership in issue resolution and team collaboration.
- Builds strong foundations for growth into a Level 2 engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in Azure or .NET are preferred.
