Role Description:
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Design Engineer who can independently handle design, drafting, and coordination for multi‑disciplinary MEP projects. The ideal candidate should be detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection
- Prepare design drawings, schematics, and BOQs for VRF, DX, and chilled water systems
- Develop ducting layouts, piping layouts, and coordination drawings
- Review architectural and structural drawings for design integration
- Prepare technical documentation, compliance notes, and consultant‑ready submissions
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, OEMs, and site teams
- Support project execution with technical clarifications and design revisions
- Ensure designs comply with ISHRAE, ASHRAE, NBC, and project‑specific standards
Required Skills & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in HVAC design (consultancy experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of VRF, ventilation, pressurization, and heat load calculations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is an added advantage
- Ability to prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and equipment schedules
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Team player with the ability to mentor and support junior draftsmen.
