Job Description
About Position- Perform Basic Design, Detail Design, Calculations & Specification for Generator Electrical auxiliaries systems
- Checking of final manufacturing drawings and BoM coming from Design Engineers or Suppliers
- To understand the specification of the project, product, customer requirement, Generator operating parameters and operating sequences of Hydro power plant
- Design / Specification of Generator Instrumentation - for measuring temperature, pressure, flow, Cabling and Terminal boxes, Grounding system, Condition monitoring equipment like Partial discharge, Air gap monitoring, Vibration, Shaft current and Fire protection systems
- Understand and Prepare P& IDs, Technical Specifications and Drawings specifying design requirements
- Manage and execute work packages with Detail Design Engineers or Contract Engineers.
- Working with suppliers for defining, improving or cost out during design phase
- Support to Supply chain during execution phase

Qualifications- Educational Requirements: B. E. (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation)
- At least 3 years in design of Hydro Generator auxiliary systems. Total experience desired > 5 years
- Experienced in understanding engineering requirements of Hydro Generator
- Applied knowledge of Instrumentation and Electrical Engg and Standards
- Experienced in preparing design specifications for components mentioned in responsibilities
- Experienced in Design & Engineering Processes
- Good level in MS Office Application
- User Level SAP System, PLM (CORELLA)
- Experienced in CAD tools preferably AUTOCAD, EPLAN and UG NX
- Communication, Inter-personal relationship
- Pro-active & responsiveness
