Quality Manager (Home Textiles/Rugs, 18+ yrs, Gurgaon)

About Our Client

This opportunity is with a large organization in the retail industry that operates within the department store sector. The company is known for its commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining robust quality standards in its operations.

• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across product development and production.
• Oversee the full end‑to‑end quality process, identifying issues early and ensuring robust quality at each stage.
• Conduct technical assessments of samples, provide corrective feedback, and ensure execution of production inspections.
• Analyze vendor performance, lead improvement plans, and support factory selection and onboarding.
• Manage and mentor a team of Quality Technicians, setting priorities and development goals.
• Travel regularly to factories for audits, reviews, and pre‑production meetings.
• Train vendors and internal partners on quality standards and ensure consistency across all suppliers.
• Partner with third‑party inspection agencies, the Compliance team, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance standards.

• Experience: 15+ years of technical experience in quality roles with progressive responsibility.
• Industry: Strong expertise in Home Textiles; experience in Rugs is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabrications (yarn quality, content, weaving, knitting, terry, tufting), industry testing standards, AQL systems, and working with agencies like BV and SGS.
• Regional Exposure: Experience working with vendors in the Delhi NCR region (Panipat preferred).
• Retail Background: Experience working with US-based retailers.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong English communication, advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills, ability to review templates and analytical logic.
