About the Role:
As we scale our Customer Engineering (Solution Delivery) function, we are looking for a seasoned Solution Architect who will be the technical compass for our delivery team, own end-to-end solution design for customer engagements, and translate complex business requirements into robust, production-ready AI architectures.
You will work directly with the Head of Customer Engineering, lead a team of 10 Generative AI engineers, and be the primary technical point-of-contact for customer stakeholders from RFP through go-live.
What You'll Do
Solution Design & Architecture- Own the end-to-end technical design of Agentic AI (primarily voice) solutions on our platform, spanning NLU, dialogue management, orchestration, and integrations.
- Produce detailed solution architecture documents, data-flow diagrams, integration blueprints, and PoC prototypes that map customer requirements to our platform capabilities.
- Define and govern integration patterns with customer back-end systems (CRMs, ERPs, telephony platforms, custom APIs) ensuring scalability and security.
- Evaluate trade-offs between build vs. configure and recommend optimal deployment topologies (cloud-native, on-premise, hybrid).
- Analyse customer RFPs / RFIs and develop technically sound, commercially compelling solution proposals and effort estimates.
- Create and present solution demos, architecture walk-throughs, and whitepapers to CTO-level stakeholders and procurement committees.
- Collaborate with the Sales team in responding to security questionnaires, compliance requirements, and technical due-diligence requests.
- Guide and upskill a team of Gen AI engineers on architecture best practices, design patterns, and platform internals.
- Conduct technical design reviews, code / configuration reviews, and milestone gate assessments throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Establish and refine delivery playbooks, solution templates, and reusable accelerators to improve delivery velocity across engagements.
- Act as the primary bridge between customers technical teams and our internal product, platform, and engineering squads.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Provide feedback loops to the Product team on capability gaps identified during customer engagements.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Experience- 5 – 7 years in solution architecture, technical consulting, or senior delivery roles with significant exposure to Conversational AI and/or Generative AI implementations.
- Hands-on delivery of production-grade conversational or voice AI systems (IVR modernisation, virtual assistants, contact-centre AI, or similar).
- Proven track record of responding to enterprise RFPs and authoring technical proposals that won business.
- Deep understanding of ASR / TTS pipelines, NLU frameworks (Rasa, Dialogflow, custom LLM-based), and voice channel integrations (SIP, WebRTC, Twilio, Genesys, etc.).
- Solid grasp of LLM fundamentals — prompt engineering, RAG architectures, fine-tuning, hallucination mitigation, and responsible AI practices.
- Familiarity with agentic AI patterns: tool-use / function calling, multi-agent orchestration, memory & context management.
- Experience designing low-latency, streaming voice pipelines end-to-end.
- Hands-on exposure to at least one major cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) — services, IAM, networking, and cost optimisation.
- Working knowledge of containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s clusters, Helm charts, resource management).
- Understanding of CI/CD practices, API gateway patterns, and observability tooling (logging, tracing, alerting).
- Exceptional ability to create clear architecture diagrams (using tools such as Lucidchart, draw.io, Miro, or Visio).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to author concise, structured technical proposal documents and SOW artefacts.
