OPTIMA INSTRUMENTS is a leading retail company that specializes in providing innovative technology solutions for the retail industry. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Computer Operator.
As a Computer Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, maintaining high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and control computer systems to ensure their efficient and uninterrupted operation
• Perform routine system backups and ensure data integrity
• Respond to system alerts and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Execute batch jobs and schedule system tasks
• Monitor system performance and escalate any abnormalities or bottlenecks
• Maintain documentation of system processes and procedures
• Provide support to end users and help resolve any software or hardware issues
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience working as a Computer Operator or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, and software applications
• Familiarity with batch processing and job scheduling
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and system monitoring
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
