Job Description:

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. seeks an experienced ServiceNow Application Developer to join our ServiceNow Product Innovations Team, an Agile team that enhances our existing product lines and works with our ServiceNow Architects to design and develop new products or enhance existing applications for the ServiceNow Projects and Products.
NetImpact seeks a candidate fluent in ServiceNow scoped application development best practices, using Developer Studio, App Studio, Portals, and UI Builder.

We seek candidates who demonstrate their ability to perform with agility and act with an understanding of the importance of building high-quality customer-centric products by leveraging the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform to deliver superior user experiences.
The candidate will work closely with our product architects to design and develop enterprise-grade solutions and serve as a key technical resource leading the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of large, custom ServiceNow applications.
Candidate will participate as an active member of a cross-functional team responsible for enhancing NetImpact’s ServiceNow Store offerings, implementing new products, and developing custom ServiceNow solutions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to effectively provide advanced skills for product development, work independently, and support multiple applications development projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
 •  Serve as a [Senior] ServiceNow application developer responsible for developing innovative scoped application solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences following ServiceNow best practices.
 •  Design and develop solutions within ServiceNow Store Applications to include new features and modifications to applications, forms, workflow, policies, actions, access control, interfaces, and any other configurations required to support product development and enhancement.
 •  Perform complex hands-on technical development work based on assigned user stories; conduct unit testing for each story assigned, develop automated tests (ATF), and manage the lifecycle of development work.
 •  Collaborate with project team members to design, develop, and deliver creative, scalable, and maintainable solutions to complex problems.
 •  Prepare demonstration configurations for use in pre-sales presentations.
 •  Develop JavaScript server/client code as needed for integration.
 •  Create and use update sets to move customer configuration between environments.
 •  Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other systems.

Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

Required
 •  Prior experience building ServiceNow custom scoped applications is a must-have including developing “pro-code” ServiceNow applications, with an understanding of application architecture, scoped application file management, update set management, working with application repositories, and following Git version control practices.
 •  Minimum of Two (2) years of experience developing scoped applications in ServiceNow Developer Studio.
 •  Minimum of Two (2) years of experience with Service Portal development using AngularJS, HTML, UI/UX Customizations, and designing portal widgets
 •  Hands-on experience working with the ServiceNow Platform architecture: data model, security model, workflow architecture, leveraging platform capabilities with a focus on forward compatibility.
 •  Hands-on experience working with the ServiceNow security model and how to optimize application security, and integrate security components (policies, access controls, business rules) for the best possible user experience.
 •  Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and implement features and enhancements following best practices for ServiceNow application development.
 •  ServiceNow Application Developer and/or Implementation Specialist Certification
 •  ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
 •  In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow administration and development, security, data management, and integrations
 •  Previous experience configuring and customizing all aspects of ServiceNow - UI Actions, UI Policy, UI Pages, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Include Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, Catalog UI Policies, Email Scripts, Scripted Web Services, Rest and SOAP web services, Roles / Groups to name a few
 •  Demonstrated experience developing solutions consistent with architectural standards and ServiceNow best practices.
 •  Minimum of seven (7) years of professional technical experience as an IT professional

Preferred
 •  BS/BA in a related field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Management preferred)
 •  Hands-on 2+ Years of experience in developing with core JavaScript development and server-side technologies such as Rhino, Jelly, JDBC, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and other Web and platform integration technologies.
 •  Demonstrated expertise with ServiceNow APIs and integrations.
 •  Understanding and experience related to advanced ServiceNow development, including the following:
 •  Browser events, best practices in JavaScript coding, style sheets, jQuery
 •  The Glide Stack, Jelly scripts along with SN extensions, server-side JavaScript
 •  Database relationships, views, query definition, before/after business rules
 •  Experience using VSCode to develop ServiceNow custom applications.
 •  Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
