PURPOSE
The Senior Analyst Treasury is responsible for owning, maintaining and continuously updating cash flow forecasts, liquidity views and related treasury reporting to support Group Treasury and senior stakeholders.
The role focuses on the collection, validation and processing of cash‑related information from multiple sources, the maintenance of robust and auditable cash flow models (direct and indirect), and the delivery of clear, timely and decision‑ready reporting.The Senior Analyst Treasury operates in a dynamic environment with frequent forecast updates and acts as a key execution partner to Treasury leadership, ensuring accuracy, transparency and auditability in line with SITA policies, processes and governance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity (Core Accountability)- Prepare, maintain and continuously update cash flow forecasts, including:
- Short‑term direct cash flow forecasts (liquidity‑focused)
- Mid‑term cash flow views supported by indirect drivers (working capital, accruals, capex, tax, financing)
- Collect, consolidate and validate cash‑related inputs from FP&A, Accounting, local Finance teams and other stakeholders.
- Own, document and maintain forecasting assumptions (timing, scope, logic), ensuring transparency, consistency and full auditability.
- Perform forecast versus actual analyses, identify root causes of deviations, and clearly explain movements to Treasury Management.
- Update forecasts efficiently in response to changing assumptions and business conditions, without waiting for full planning cycle refreshes.
- Identify liquidity risks or data gaps and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain oversight of daily cash positioning and liquidity visibility across entities.
- Support funding decisions, prioritisation and liquidity management, working closely with Treasury leadership.
- Review outputs of daily cash reconciliations and cash movements executed by the analyst team, focusing on exceptions and risks.
- Ensure cash dashboards and daily reporting accurately reflect underlying positions and movements.
(Note: execution of payments, reconciliations and physical banking actions is supported by analysts, with this role retaining oversight and judgment.)
Treasury Systems & Data Management (Kyriba and Banking Platforms)- Act as a functional owner for treasury systems (primarily Kyriba), ensuring cash logic, configurations and outputs accurately reflect treasury needs.
- Oversee data consistency between Treasury models, TMS, ERP and banking platforms.
- Support diagnosis of system and integration issues, working with IT and external providers where required.
- Ensure appropriate governance over system access, roles and controls in line with internal policies.
- Support continuous improvement of treasury workflows, automation and data handling.
- Produce clear, accurate and management‑ready cash flow reports, dashboards and presentations for Group Treasury, CFO and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure all treasury outputs meet high standards of quality, consistency and transparency suitable for executive‑level communication.
- Support preparation of materials for internal governance forums, management reviews and decision‑making.
- Respond to ad‑hoc treasury‑related analysis requests, prioritising effectively in time‑sensitive situations.
- Ensure all cash flow models, assumptions and treasury outputs are well structured, controlled and auditable.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audits related to cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting and treasury systems.
- Prepare explanations, documentation and narratives required for audit walkthroughs and reviews.
- Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of treasury policies, procedures and governance documentation.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with SITA standards, internal controls and regulatory expectations relevant to treasury activities.
- Provide analytical and execution support across treasury activities as needed (e.g. liquidity analysis, funding reviews, cash pooling impacts, FX cash flow considerations).
- Participate in treasury initiatives and improvement projects, contributing practical insights and execution capability.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE- 3-6 years of experience in Treasury, Finance or FP&A, with demonstrated responsibility for cash flow forecasting, liquidity or working‑capital‑related analysis.
- Experience working in a large international organization within a matrix environment.
- Prior exposure to financial audit, internal controls or reporting quality assurance is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage frequent information updates under tight timelines.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Technical- Strong understanding of direct and indirect cash flow mechanics, liquidity drivers and working capital.
- Strong financial modelling skills with an emphasis on clarity, auditability and disciplined assumptions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (mandatory); experience with treasury or financial planning systems (e.g. Kyriba, ERP, planning tools) is an advantage.
- High standards for data accuracy, reconciliation and documentation.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented and disciplined in execution.
- Comfortable working in environments with frequent forecast updates and incomplete or evolving information.
- Proactive self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Able to clearly explain financial information and cash movements to finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Able to prioritise and re‑prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (mandatory).
- Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) is desirable but not required.
- Good understanding of international accounting concepts impacting cash flows.
