Job Purpose

The Product Sales Manager drives sales and distribution of the bank's smallticket, unsecured overdraft products. The role develops and implements sales strategies, manages relationships with clientinfluencing partners in the branch vicinity, and ensures sales targets are met or exceeded.

The incumbent must understand currentaccount customers and sourcing from the specified catchment area, engage with credit for processing unsecured overdraft applications, and possess a proven trackrecord in product sales. Experience handling retail merchants is an advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

Key / Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage transactionbanking requirements of clients and maintain relevant regulatory relationships.
  • Prospect and identify clients with strong transactionbanking potential; penetrate them with evolving digital solutions.
  • Activate the wishlist of identified clients and grow overall transactionbanking business.
  • Provide inputs on products, service levels and product features to product and strategy teams to help develop a bestinclass transactionbanking suite.
  • Contribute to salesstrategy formulation for setting up transactionbanking services for clients.
  • Own, articulate and execute business strategy covering product development, management, sales and service delivery to achieve cashmanagement & trade targets (where applicable).
  • Update and train Relationship Managers on any new transactionbanking products (cash and trade).
  • Ensure timely implementation of client deals and assist in resolution of transactional issues.
  • Build excellent working rapport with all stakeholders for effective execution of responsibilities.
  • Gather market knowledge and feedback on competition benchmarking for continuous evaluation of inhouse offerings.
  • Work closely with Product and Operations teams for process reengineering and product enhancements to increase client stickiness.
  • Identify and forge strategic alliances across segments for delivery of innovative solutions to clients.
