Training & Placement Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Placement Coordinator to lead and manage the placement process for our hotel management students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with industry partners, organizing placement activities, and ensuring the highest level of career support for students.

This role involves strategic planning, networking, and executing initiatives to enhance student employability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive placement strategy that aligns with industry needs and institutional goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, hospitality chains, resorts, and other industry employers to create internship and job placement opportunities.
  • Organize campus recruitment drives, placement fairs, and guest lectures from industry leaders.
  • Provide career counseling and guidance to students, including interview preparation, resume writing, and soft skills development.
  • Maintain and update placement records, track student placements, and report placement statistics to the management.
  • Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to ensure seamless coordination of placement activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and align placement activities with the evolving demands of the hospitality sector.
  • Proactively establish and maintain MOUs with top-tier hotels, hospitality chains, and resorts to secure exclusive placement and internship opportunities for students.
  • Any other responsibility, as given by higher authority.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have gain experience with the Hotel Industry.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a placement coordination role, talent acquisition, or HR, preferably within the hospitality or hotel management sector.
  • Strong network of contacts in the hospitality industry, including hotels, resorts, and restaurants.
  • Proven track record of successfully placing students in internships or full-time positions within the hospitality industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with students, employers, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage placement schedules, recruitment events, and student counseling sessions.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to secure top placement opportunities for students.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends in hospitality and recruitment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using online job portals and recruitment software.
  • Passion for student success and ability to motivate students towards career development.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet placement targets.
