About the Role

A reputed CBSE school is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic, financial, operational, and organizational leadership.

The CEO will work closely with the Board, Management, and Principal to drive the school's long-term vision, financial sustainability, governance standards, operational excellence, and growth initiatives. The role requires a seasoned leader with strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to build a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the school's long-term strategic vision aligned with Board objectives.
• Translate organizational goals into actionable business, financial, and operational plans.
• Drive growth, expansion opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and trends impacting the education sector.
• Lead strategic planning and oversee execution of key initiatives.

• Lead budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Optimize capital deployment to support growth and operational efficiency.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial health.
• Ensure sound financial management, cost control, and sustainability.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, taxation, internal controls, and compliance.

• Act as the primary liaison between the Board, Management, and leadership team.
• Present strategic plans, financial performance, and key recommendations to the Board.
• Build relationships with trustees, promoters, regulators, bankers, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Support governance, policy development, and institutional decision-making.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to senior management and functional teams.
• Build a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture.
• Establish performance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
• Oversee operational functions and ensure alignment between academic and non-academic teams.
• Drive organizational transformation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
• MBA, CFA, CS, or equivalent qualifications will be an advantage.

• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles such as CEO, COO, CFO, Business Head, Managing Director, Executive Director, or equivalent.
• Strong background in strategic planning, financial leadership, business management, and organizational development.
• Experience working closely with Boards, promoters, trustees, investors, or governing bodies.
• Exposure to education, healthcare, professional services, infrastructure, manufacturing, or large institutional environments will be preferred.
