Job Description

An Area Sales Manager for the Housing Loan (HL) DSA Channel is responsible for driving sales of home loans and Loan Against Property (LAP) through a network of Direct Selling Agents (DSAs). This role involves setting sales targets, developing strategies to achieve them, managing a sales team, and building strong relationships with partners like builders and developers.

Key responsibilities include managing sales performance, ensuring business growth, coordinating with support functions like credit and operations for loan disbursals, and monitoring market trends.

Core responsibilities
  • Sales and target achievement: Aggressively manage and drive sales for HL and LAP products to meet and exceed monthly and periodic revenue and acquisition targets.
  • Channel management: Build and manage a network of DSAs, connectors, builders, and other channel partners to expand the customer base and secure business.
  • Team leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Strategy and execution: Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans to increase market share and improve loan disbursal patterns.
  • Relationship building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, real estate agents, builders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Operational coordination: Collaborate with credit, operations, and legal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan processing and disbursement cycle.
  • Market analysis: Monitor market trends, analyze competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Performance monitoring: Track key performance metrics, monitor portfolio performance, and address customer queries and issues.
Key skills and qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the home loan or mortgage industry.
  • Strong understanding of HL and LAP products.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's or MBA degree in finance, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
