Job Description
  • Lead and support M&A transactions, joint ventures, investments, restructurings, and other strategic corporate actions across the group.
  • Advise on financing transactions, corporate structuring, governance matters, and legal documentation required for group‑level decision‑making.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance on impactful projects connected to the broader metals, mining, and engineering ecosystem.
  • Provide comprehensive legal advisory across multiple group businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant corporate and commercial laws.
  • Review and negotiate key commercial contracts tied to critical transactions or major operational commitments.
  • Collaborate with international legal advisors for cross‑border transactions, agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Support legal aspects involving overseas partners or international business arrangements.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, finance, strategy, and operational teams across the organization.
  • Manage and coordinate external counsel for specialized matters and major transactions.
  • Support legal work for new business ventures, expansion plans, capital initiatives, or group reorganizations.
  • Contribute to strengthening internal legal processes, governance systems, and best‑practice frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate would possess:

  • A degree in Law from a recognized university.
  • A pure‑play law firm candidate, or someone with a minimum of 5-6 years of law‑firm experience within their overall background, is essential.
  • Overall 7-10 years of strong experience in M&A, general corporate advisory, and financing transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage deals end‑to‑end and negotiate complex documents independently.
  • Experience with multi‑jurisdictional matters
  • Willingness to work alternate Saturdays and travel once in a while for work trips.
