Role Description The Area Sales Manager – B2B will manage and grow institutional and alternate distribution channels for key brand partners in the Mumbai region. This full-time, on-site role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with B2B clients, and driving revenue and market share growth across assigned territories.
The person in this role will identify new business opportunities, negotiate commercial terms, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of programs and timely delivery. Daily responsibilities include monitoring sales performance, preparing reports and forecasts, conducting regular client visits, and ensuring adherence to company standards and partner expectations.

The Area Sales Manager will also support channel activation initiatives, gather market insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer engagement.

Qualifications

Daily 5-6 Visits to Clients locations - Corporate Clients.
  • Strong B2B sales and account management skills, including experience in institutional or channel distribution environments.
  • Proficiency in business development activities such as prospecting, lead qualification, opportunity mapping, and negotiation.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, prepare performance reports, and use insights to adjust strategies and achieve targets.
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with corporate clients, trade partners, and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proven capability in territory planning, pipeline management, and execution of sales and activation plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or brand distribution sectors, preferably working with large national or global brands.
  • Comfort with on-site work, frequent client visits, and field travel within Mumbai and surrounding areas.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving sales objectives.
