Position Overview
Gathers detailed hardware and software inventory information to facilitate decisions about purchasing, allocating, replenishing and retiring IT assets. Contributes to asset lifecycle management and helps ensure the effective and efficient use of allocated hardware, software and associated infrastructure.Enforces compliance with corporate security policies, licensing requirements and technology deployment standards. Coordinates with system support, networking and other personnel to ensure the effective and efficient management of company assets.
- Key Responsibilities/Outcomes
- Provides asset management support for specific organizational areas and/or designated IT equipment and software.
- Responds to user requests about asset-related issues (i.e., functional issues, device status, replacing lost equipment).
- Works with desktop support / support teams to resolve minor asset-related problems.
- Maintains compliance documentation related to asset management, ensuring assets meet company and regulatory requirements (i.e., for security, data protection and auditing).
- Tracks and manages software licenses to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Gathers and compiles data related to asset usage, cost, performance and compliance – preparing and distributing reports per established protocol.
- Assists with audit / review preparation by gathering and providing relevant asset data.
- Responds to audits / reviews by correcting discrepancies and addressing noted issues and concerns – escalating as appropriate.
- Observes and recommends potential improvements in the asset tracking process.
- Assists with testing and implementation of updates to the tracking management system.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, regulations and industry standards.

Any degree and 2-4 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
