Omnicom is building a centralized Data Products Team to power a growing suite of proprietary research and analytics products used across multiple offices. As a Survey Programming Associate, you'll play a critical role in quantitative research by translating questionnaire designs into polished, functioning surveys that fuel some of Omnicom's most strategic client work.
This role sits at the intersection of research operations and technology. You'll work closely with analysts, strategists, and research leads to program surveys that power products like Focus (our implicit psychological testing tool), Messaging Studio (consumer message testing with Willingness-to-Pay and Max-Diff methodologies), Richter (our creative and strategic testing product), and others.
Responsibilities:
- Program surveys end-to-end using platforms such as Qualtrics, Decipher, or similar tools: from setup and logic scripting to soft launch and final fielding
- Translate questionnaire specs and research designs written by analysts and strategists into fully functional, error-free surveys
- Build and QA complex survey logic including skip patterns, display logic, quotas, randomization, and custom scripting
- Support specialized methodologies including implicit association tests (SIAT/MIAT as used in Focus), Max-Diff exercises, conjoint designs, and Willingness-to-Pay studies (as used in Messaging Studio)
- Conduct thorough pre-launch testing and quality checks, identifying and resolving programming errors before surveys go into field
- Collaborate with the research panel/sample providers to manage survey fielding, monitor completion rates, and flag data quality issues
- Maintain organized project files, documentation, and programming templates to build a scalable, consistent workflow across the Data Products Team
- Contribute to continuous improvement of survey programming standards and internal best practices
- Support the team on multiple concurrent projects across different BBDO product lines and client categories
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in survey programming or a research operations role (agency, vendor, or in-house research team)
- Hands-on proficiency with one or more survey platforms
- Familiarity with quantitative research methodologies, specifically Max-Diff, conjoint, implicit testing, or Willingness-to-Pay is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret questionnaire documents and translate them into technical survey logic without ambiguity
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, project-heavy environment with multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills - you can flag issues, ask the right questions, and push back when something doesn't make sense
- Experience with basic HTML/CSS or JavaScript for survey customization is a plus but not required
- A genuine interest in research, data, and consumer insights
