Role Overview for PAN India
The Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, team management, market penetration, customer engagement within the assigned territory for the companys cardiology-focused medical device portfolio. This role involves managing key accounts, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Sales & Business Development
- Appointing Distributors in the assigned territory.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the territory.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities in hospitals and cardiology fraternity.
- Expand market share for companys products through strategic positioning.
- Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, MD Physicians and hospital procurement teams.
- Manage key institutional accounts and ensure long-term partnerships. • Support tender participation and institutional sales processes.
- Product Promotion & Clinical Support
- Promote the companys products through product presentations, demonstrations, and clinical discussions.
- Provide on-site support during procedures where required.
- Organize CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), workshops, and product training sessions.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and territory insights.
- Gather customer feedback and share inputs with marketing and product teams.
- Distribution & Channel Management
- Appoint and manage distributors (if applicable).
- Ensure product availability, inventory control, and timely delivery.
- Maintain effective coordination with supply chain and logistics teams.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation for sales activities, tenders, and contracts.
- Achievement of sales targets (monthly/quarterly/annual).
- Market share growth in assigned territory.
- Number of new accounts acquired.
- Customer retention and satisfaction levels.
- Product penetration in key accounts.
- Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience in medical device sales, preferably in cardiology (e.g. cardiology devices/ systems).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a healthcare environment. Key Skills & Competencies
