Quality Inspector Zero/-Defect Injection Moulding Inspection Job Description Who you are/: Conduct regular, hourly floor inspections at injection molding machine stations, comparing the output of active parts with border sheets and approved golden samples.
Check crucial part measurements against plan tolerances using precision measuring tools such as digital calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and profile projectors. Recognize, classify, and monitor common plastic molding flaws on the line, such as burn marks, warping, voids, sink marks, flash, short shots, and silver streaks.
Tag, separate, and log faulty batches into the specified Red Bin quarantine zones to avoid unintentional mix/-ups; immediately issue Hold/Stop/-Production signals when defect levels are exceeded Before allowing the production team to move forward, measure and clear the first component pieces for new mold setups, color changes, or raw material batch switchovers.
Update metrics in our central quality logging system or ERP by filling out and recording daily quality check sheets, shift inspection reports, and defect Pareto charts.
