Role Description The Area Sales Manager – Liabilities is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This position is responsible for driving growth in liability products (such as current, savings, and term deposit accounts) across an assigned area, in line with the bank's targets and policies.The role includes leading and coaching branch and sales teams, setting sales plans, monitoring performance, and ensuring consistent service standards for customers. The Area Sales Manager – Liabilities will analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and build relationships with key clients, corporates, and community partners to expand the bank's deposit base.
The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing documentation quality, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Risk, and Marketing to support sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, with a proven track record in growing liability products (deposits, accounts, and related services).
- Experience in team leadership, including coaching, performance management, and motivating teams to achieve challenging targets.
- Solid understanding of retail banking, financial products, and regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical and planning abilities, including market analysis, sales forecasting, and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., in banking or sales management) are an advantage.
- Comfort with using banking systems, CRM tools, and MS Office applications for reporting and performance tracking.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, travel within the assigned area, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
