Job Overview

We are a fast-growing food startup supplying chef-grade ready-to-cook gravies designed to help restaurants improve kitchen efficiency, reduce preparation time, lower labour dependency, and maintain consistency in taste and quality.

We are looking for a Business Development Executive – HoReCa Sales to drive market penetration across Mumbai by introducing our products to restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens, caterers, and food service businesses.

This is a high-energy field sales role focused on product trials, account conversion, and building long-term repeat business relationships.

As the company expands, strong performers will have opportunities to grow with the brand into wider retail and online sales channels.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and approach restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens, and catering businesses across Mumbai
  • Conduct daily field visits and generate new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, and procurement teams
  • Organize product tastings, kitchen demonstrations, and trial sessions
  • Convert trial accounts into recurring weekly customers
  • Maintain strong account relationships to ensure repeat orders and retention
  • Track sales pipeline, customer feedback, and reorder cycles
  • Meet monthly sales, conversion, and account retention targets

Requirements

Requirements
  • 1–5 years of sales/business development experience (HoReCa / food supply preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Mumbai’s restaurant and food service ecosystem
  • Comfortable working in field sales and visiting commercial kitchens daily
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident, resilient, and target-driven personality
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily activity goals
  • Fluency in Hindi and English required (Marathi is a plus)
Nice to Have
  • Existing network within restaurants, cafés, hotels, or catering businesses
  • Experience in FMCG food sales, kitchen ingredients, or commercial food products
  • Knowledge of HoReCa buying cycles and procurement processes
