Human Resources Business Partner
ooms polymer modified bitumen pvt. ltd. Gurgaon
Job Description
About Ooms India
Ooms India manufactures value-added bituminous products that power roads and runways across the country. With 25+ years of expertise, NABL-accredited R&D, and multi-location manufacturing, the company focuses on performance, durability, and long-term infrastructure outcomes — not just supply.
The Role
This is not a traditional HR role.
The HR Business Partner at Ooms India is a business-critical position responsible for aligning people strategy with execution across plants and corporate teams. You'll work closely with leadership to translate business goals into real, on-ground outcomes — driving accountability, improving performance, and solving operational challenges. If your idea of HR is policies and engagement calendars, this role will stretch you. If you enjoy fixing what's broken and building what works, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
Business & Workforce Strategy- Partner with leaders to align manpower and HR plans with business goals
- Drive workforce planning across plants and corporate functions
- Build and run performance systems that actually drive outcomes
- Ensure KRAs are used, tracked, and acted upon
- Act as the HR anchor for plant operations — driving execution remotely and stepping in on-ground when required
- Manage workforce challenges including engagement, discipline, and productivity
- Ensure labour law compliance
- Embed Ooms TRUST (TRUST: Teamwork, Responsibility, Unity, Synergy, Transparency) values into daily operations
- Build frontline leadership capability through structured interventions
- Strengthen hiring, onboarding, engagement, and retention
- Proactively resolve employee concerns and improve workplace experience
- Implement scalable HR systems and tools
- Drive adoption of simple, effective communication and tracking mechanisms
- Bridge the gap between leadership intent and ground reality
- Challenge constructively — this role requires judgment, not just execution
- Managers own their teams — HR isn't chasing them
- Performance conversations happen regularly, not annually
- Plants run with fewer people issues and stronger accountability
- HR systems are used because they work
- 5–8 years of HRBP / generalist experience
- Exposure to manufacturing or plant environments preferred
- Strong understanding of labour laws
- Able to balance empathy with business outcomes
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ownership
- Willing to travel to plant locations when needed
- Build systems from scratch — not maintain legacy processes
- Work directly with business leaders
- Drive real impact in a growing infrastructure-focused company
